Temitope Ebenezer Agbana

 

Temitope Ebenezer Agbana obtained his PhD at the Delft Centre for Systems and Controls, an MSc with Microwave Sensing, Signals and Systems group at the Delft University of Technology, and a B.Eng. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria.

His PhD research focused on developing affordable, expert-independent, and reliable data-driven automated optical diagnostic devices for use in resource-limited settings. Agbana’s diagnostic tool seeks to address the need for digital tools in the diagnosis of infectious diseases such as Malaria, Tuberculosis, Schistosomiasis, Lymphatic Filariasis, and Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis, particularly in rural endemic areas.

He is the CEO and co-founder of AiDx Medical, a MedTech startup focused on developing reliable, affordable, and locally manufacturable AI-based automated optical platforms for infectious disease diagnostics in the emerging world.
