Dr. Oyebola Oyediran Olusegun

Dr. Oyebola has over a decade of teaching and research experience in aquaculture and fisheries management.

Senior Lecturer in the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr Oyebola is a Principal Investigator for the Horizon Europe R&I project INCiTiS-FOOD and is responsible for the INCiTiS-FOOD Living Lab at the University of Ibadan. Dr Oyebola has over a decade of teaching and research experience in aquaculture and fisheries management.

He has played a key role in implementing several international food system-related projects; for instance, Dr Oyebola is one of the members of the food system research-to-action subgroup of the 2021-2022 Commonwealth Futures Climate Research Cohort of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, UK. In 2021, he undertook an aquaculture assessment in Liberia under the integrated rice-fish farming in a research and extension development-based initiative to improve food security and nutrition in Liberia.

Dr Oyebola was the In-country consultant for the USAID-sponsored, Fish Innovation Lab-implemented project Improving Efficiency in the Nigerian Aquaculture Sector by Employing Lean Production Systems in 2020–2023. His activities have led to the training of numerous farmers and agri-food system practitioners. His research, training, and development efforts have centred around ensuring sustainable food and optimising food production systems.
