Engr. Charles Emembolu
Engr. Charles Emembolu is an accomplished information technology architect, ecosystem builder, and talent developer. He co-founded Roar Nigeria Hub in 2016, Nigeria’s first university-embedded technology incubator in partnership with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Over the past decade, he has also founded and supported several technology and innovation-focused organisations, including TechQuest STEM Academy LTD/GTE and Crestsage Limited. Through TechQuest and Roar Nigeria, Charles has impacted over 50,000 young Nigerians with business and digital literacy skills.
Charles has led numerous local and international collaborative projects and is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Computer Society, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Project Management Institute, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER), and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) – Digital Economy Industry thematic group amongst others.
His latest startup, Dexude, supported by Business Finland as a fast-growth company, offers a multisided AI-enhanced platform revolutionising global tech talent development and recruitment. He also co-convened the Omniverse Africa Summit, a premier platform uniting technology and creative sector leaders, innovators, and stakeholders across Africa to advance digital transformation and innovation on the continent.
Charles has attended several prestigious management programmes, including those at Lagos Business School and Harvard University. He holds a diploma in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Science Park Development from Lund University, Sweden. A mentor, angel investor, and industry leader, he is also an author and co-author of several publications and articles and an avid international speaker, including TEDx. Currently, he serves as the Board Chairman for the Innovation Support Network (ISN) Nigeria, a body of over 192 incubators, accelerators, and innovation hubs supporting the startup and innovation ecosystem in Nigeria.
