Dr. Jean-Marc Ricca

Chief Executive Officer, Country Cluster West Africa.

Initially trained as a biochemist, Jean-Marc graduated with a PhD in organic chemistry from Warwick university. He spent the beginning of his career in corporate and applied research mostly for the home & personal care industry. He then had several roles in marketing of innovation, regional business management and key account management in 4 of the 7 continents, particularly in emerging and frontier markets.

Jean-Marc joined BASF in 2011 in Thailand as head of regional key account management for EM, following through as global key account manager for Henkel in Ludwigshafen. He then moved to Africa in 2016 to take over BASF operations in West Africa and is currently stationed in Lagos Nigeria.
