Transitioning from his initial career trajectory, Mr Joseph has emerged as a prominent social entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Agrisiti Nig Ltd., a pioneering company specialising in advanced smart hardware food systems through its proprietary Agrisiti technology.

The company markets the outputs from the food system hardware via its digital platform, Farmisphere, catering primarily to diaspora Africans and retail outlets. Under Mr Joseph’s visionary leadership, Agrisiti Nig Ltd. has developed a sophisticated hardware infrastructure designed for both cottage and urban farming. Additionally, the company leverages an e-learning platform to promote youth engagement in agriculture through the Young City Farmers Initiative, a strategic programme aimed at empowering young individuals and fostering a new generation of urban farmers.

Mr Joseph’s exceptional contributions and leadership have garnered significant recognition and support for Agrisiti. The company was selected among the top 18 enterprises for the GovTech Global Alliance Climatetech Showcase, an initiative supported by the Scottish Government, GovTech Lab Lithuania, the Government of South Australia, and Innovate UK. Agrisiti also received funding from the African Development Bank, achieving 1st runner-up in the Agripitch competition, and secured 1st place in the Orange Corners Programme, an initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, implemented by the Fate Foundation. He is a Fellow at IRENA NextGen Renewable Energy Accelerator Programme for Youth.

Furthermore, Mr Joseph’s work with Farmisphere, which ensures the offtake, processing, and export of produce from smallholder farmers who use Agrisiti hardware, earned him the 1st Runner-Up award in the digital logistics EU-Africa DIGILOGIC #H2020, funded by the European Commission.

He is a DSM-OYW Scholar for 2022 and has been recognised among the Top 20 African Innovators and Entrepreneurs by the Regional University Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM). Mr Joseph is strategically focused on expanding Agrisiti Nig Ltd.’s product portfolio, establishing global manufacturing partnerships, and enhancing the community around Agrisiti’s hardware solutions. He is dedicated to integrating additional features for improved food chain efficiency and data insights by deploying real-time data collection systems and implementing IoT and data analytics solutions.

This strategic approach is expected to increase product adoption, optimise harvest outputs managed by Farmisphere, and secure partnerships with additional retail stores across the US, Europe, UK, and Canada, where Agrisiti currently engages in informal exports.
